Philly-based blues/soul vocalist/songwriter Deb Callahan has spent two decades performing and touring, regionally and throughout the country.
Her road-tested band is made up of guitarist Allen James, bassist/vocalist Garry Lee and drummer Tom Walling.
On the first of her five CDs, “If the Blues Had Wings” (2002), Blues Revue called her “the next Bonnie Raitt.”
Her most recent, “Sweet Soul” (2015), was released after she gave birth to her son Elijah (now 10), and is all about love and family.
Critic Randall Parrish for Vivascene Magazine said, “Deb Callahan has a singing voice that is unique: her confident swagger, great pitch, sincere passion, and resplendent phrasing combine to make her new new album Sweet Soul irresistibly captivating.”
