The logo for the inaugural Reading Blues Fest was designed by Mike Anderson, Wernersville, PA.
Mike is a graphic artist with an MFA Degree in Advertising Design from Syracuse University.
He is a partner in the branding and marketing firm, The Anderson Group, and is the saxophonist/leader of the musical group, The Berks Horns.
Mike’s many logo designs — including the neon-esque Berks Jazz Fest — are seen throughout the world.
Mike and The
Berks Horns have added an extra dimension to many of the Berks Jazz Fest acts over the past 15 years.
The Berks Arts Council was thrilled that Mike was able to combine his art and musical background and talents to create a “signature” design for this exciting new event.
“Mike’s logo design is perfect for the blues fest,” said John Ernesto, general manager of the Berks Jazz Fest and Reading Blues Fest. “Since Mike designed the original Berks Jazz Fest logo 28 years ago, it was fitting and appropriate that he would have the opportunity to design the logo for the inaugural┬áReading Blues Fest.
“As expected,┬áMike nailed it. Everyone loves the logo.”
